A Life Well Lived

Last Thursday, June 27th, this extraordinary man, Harley Morgan, my dad, went to be with Jesus.  I’m so grateful for the life he lived.  For the way he loved his family, friends and neighbors.  He poured into all of us the significance of being people of character who live with strength, integrity, honestly, and gratitude.  He was a brilliant entrepreneur, a generous believer in the best in others and loved Jesus deeply.

Now he’s home.  He went peacefully just a day shy of his 88th birthday with my mom and brothers at his side.  No pain.  No fall.  Just slipped away to be reunited with his friends and family who are currently hosting a massive welcome party that I’m sure he’s relishing.

Years ago – our pastor, Ron Mehl, came into the sanctuary at church one day and found my dad sitting alone in one of the pews.  He had tears in his eyes.  When Pastor Ron came to him, my dad said, “Don’t we know a great God!”

We do!

And it brings me great joy to celebrate that they are together again, pondering the goodness of our Lord for the rest of time!

A celebration of his life will be held,

Saturday, August 10th, 2:00 pm at Grace Church. 717 SE Everett Rd, Camas, WA.
